Hmaida Darna

Hmaida Darna was the stage name of a Libyan popular singer, one of the leading figures of Libyan folk singing. He took the name from a ship called 'Darna' that he worked on, not from his hometown. He was known for songs such as 'Hub al-Nisaa wal-Rih' and 'Uyoun al-Ghazil,' with well-known recordings and performances in Benghazi and al-Marj. Sources disagree on his real name, giving it as either Mohamed Said Redha or Mohamed Said al-Wadawi.

احميدة درنة اسم فني لمطرب شعبي ليبي من أبرز رواد الغناء الشعبي في ليبيا، اكتسب لقبه نسبة إلى عمله على متن سفينة تحمل اسم درنة وليس نسبة إلى مسقط رأسه. اشتهر بأغانٍ مثل حب النساء والريح وعيون الغزيل، وله تسجيلات وحفلات معروفة في بنغازي والمرج. اختلفت المصادر حول اسمه الحقيقي بين محمد سعيد رضا ومحمد سعيد الوداوي.
