Suleiman Ben Zalbah

Artist Suliman Ben Zalbah, nicknamed 'Amirina', was born in Benghazi in 1934. He began playing the nay as a child, later learned the accordion from Salem Al-Matmati, and joined the Benghazi Radio orchestra in 1957. He is considered the most famous Libyan accordionist and one of the founders of Benghazi's musical movement, and was the first to introduce the accordion into Libyan song, adapting its scales from Western to Arabic tuning. He died in 2013.

الفنان سليمان بن زبلح، الملقب ب"عميرينه"، ولد في بنغازي عام 1934. بدأ العزف على الناي منذ طفولته ثم تعلم العزف على آلة الأكورديون على يد سالم المطماطي، وانضم إلى فرقة الإذاعة الليبية ببنغازي عام 1957. يُعد أشهر عازف أكورديون ليبي وأحد مؤسسي الحركة الموسيقية في بنغازي، وأول من أدخل الآلة في الأغنية الليبية وعدّل مقاماتها من الغربي إلى العربي. توفي عام 2013.
