Salemin Zarrouk

Salemin Zarrouk is a Libyan singer born in Benghazi whose name came to prominence in Libyan song from the early 1980s. She studied at the Ali al-Shaalia Institute of Music and Drama and took a diploma in music, then earned a bachelor's degree in arts and media from the University of Tripoli and a master's in music with a thesis on the artist Mohamed Sidqi, making her the first Libyan female singer to hold an academic qualification in music. The composer Ibrahim Fahmy discovered her, presented her to the public and composed most of her best known songs, the first and most famous being "Ahadtani" in 1981, written by the poet Faraj al-Mothbal. Her other works include "Ya al-Ein Lawwama", "Zahiyat Maak Ayyami", "Wannasat Aini", "Al-Sahira al-Mushtaqa", "Sirat Awlafi" and "Ghayyeb Ali", the last composed by Ibrahim Ashraf.

سالمين الزروق مطربة ليبية من مواليد مدينة بنغازي، برز اسمها في الأغنية الليبية منذ أوائل الثمانينيات. درست في معهد علي الشعالية للموسيقى والتمثيل ونالت دبلوماً في الموسيقى، ثم حصلت على بكالوريوس في الفنون والإعلام من جامعة طرابلس وماجستير في الموسيقى بأطروحة عن الفنان محمد صدقي، وتُعد أول مطربة ليبية تحمل مؤهلاً أكاديمياً في الموسيقى. اكتشفها الموسيقار إبراهيم فهمي وقدمها للجمهور ولحّن لها أشهر أعمالها، وكان أولها وأشهرها أغنية «عاهدتني» سنة 1981 من كلمات الشاعر فرج المذبل. ومن أعمالها الأخرى «يالعين لوامة» و«زاهيات معاك أيامي» و«ونست عيني» و«الساهرة المشتاقة» و«سيرة اولافي» و«غيب علي» من ألحان إبراهيم أشرف.
