Saad Faitouri is a Libyan singer and composer who graduated top of his class from the Ali al-Shaalia music institute and has won awards at several festivals. His activity centres on the city of al-Bayda, where he works alongside the city's artists to support young talent. His works include the operetta "Hakawi al-Jabal", which he says was stolen from him in 2012, and the song cycle "Operet al-Jabal" written by the poet Abdulsalam al-Hijazi, along with songs with poets including Salem al-Kawash, Abdulhafeez al-Areeda and Abdulsalam al-Thinni, arranged by Shukri Khazzam and Yasser Najm.
