Omar Burenana Arebi

Omar Burenana Arebi was a Libyan poet of the Libyan song, from the Arebat tribe in eastern Libya. The researcher Salem al-Kabti places him in the second generation of Libyan song poets alongside Ahmed Rafik, Youssef al-Filali, Ali al-Bizanti, Abubakr Jaouda and Omar Jaouda. The poem "Ya Darb Qara Wafi", recorded by the late singer Mohamed Hassan, is attributed to him, and popular accounts say he lived among the encampments of the Zawiya tribe. No reliable source gives his birth or death date.

عمر بورنانة العريبي شاعر ليبي من شعراء الأغنية الليبية، ينتمي إلى قبيلة العريبات في شرق ليبيا. يعدّه الباحث سالم الكبتي ضمن الجيل الثاني من شعراء الأغنية الليبية إلى جانب أحمد رفيق ويوسف الفيلالي وعلي البيزنطي وأبوبكر جعودة وعمر جعودة. تنسب إليه قصيدة «يا درب قارة وافي» التي غناها الفنان الراحل محمد حسن، وتصفه المصادر الشعبية بأنه عاش بين نجوع قبيلة الزاوية. لم يُعثر على تاريخ ميلاده أو وفاته في مصدر موثوق.
