Faraj Madbal

Faraj al-Sanussi al-Madhbal (1944-2020) was a Libyan lyricist and writer born in the city of Derna, and one of the most prominent poets of Libyan song. He worked in Libyan radio broadcasting in the 1980s before dedicating himself to songwriting, penning lyrics for artists such as Adel Abdelmajid, Salmeen al-Zarouk and Ahmed Fakroun. He was also a football player in the Libyan premier league for the Najma and Ahli clubs in Benghazi, and later worked as a TV director and programme producer. He died on 7 October 2020.

فرج السنوسي المذبل (1944-2020) شاعر غنائي ومؤلف ليبي من مواليد مدينة درنة، وأحد أبرز شعراء الأغنية الليبية. عمل في السلك الإذاعي بالإذاعة الليبية في ثمانينيات القرن العشرين ثم تفرغ للتأليف الغنائي، وكتب كلمات أغانٍ لفنانين مثل عادل عبد المجيد وسالمين الزروق وأحمد فكرون. كان أيضاً لاعب كرة قدم لعب في الدوري الممتاز مع فريقي النجمة والأهلي ببنغازي، ثم عمل مخرجاً ومعد برامج تلفزيونية. توفي في السابع من أكتوبر 2020.
