Aziza Helmi is a name recorded among the members of the theatrical troupe formed in Benghazi in 1939, a large group drawn from the city's artistic circles, as related by the artist Ali al-Sha'aliya in the account reproduced from Hasan Masoud Othman's book "The Life of an Artist from Libya". Her name appears in that list beside Fathia Salem and Fatima Khaled, names that those who documented the period believe were pseudonyms, and all three disappeared from the Benghazi arts scene at an early stage. Beyond this mention no documented detail about her survives.
عزيزة حلمي اسم ورد ضمن قائمة أعضاء الفرقة المسرحية التي تكوّنت في بنغازي سنة 1939 وضمّت عدداً كبيراً من أهل الفن في المدينة، كما جاء في رواية الفنان علي الشعالية المنقولة عن كتاب "حياة فنان من ليبيا" لحسن مسعود عثمان. ورد اسمها في تلك القائمة إلى جانب فتحية سالم وفاطمة خالد، وهي أسماء يرجّح من وثّق تلك المرحلة أنها مستعارة، وقد غابت جميعها في فترة مبكرة عن الساحة الفنية في بنغازي. ولا يتوفر عنها خارج هذا الذكر أي تفصيل موثّق.
